The Campsite Ultra 25JT debuts a beautiful new layout for 2026—one that feels more like a fifth wheel than a lightweight travel trailer.

In the main bedroom, the 60” x 80” queen mattress is flanked by dual wardrobes and overhead storage. The dune gray interior color scheme—from the shiplap-style headboard to the cream cabinetry—creates an open, airy, and inviting atmosphere throughout the camper.

- Dry Weight: 7,096 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,704 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6
The Cougar 25FKD stands out with its unique front kitchen layout, mid-living space, and rear bathroom and bedroom. The thoughtful design creates a layout you’ll love, with a spacious kitchen featuring ample counterspace and a front window that fills the space with natural light.
In the living area, you can opt for a tri-fold sleeper sofa or upgrade to theater seating with heat and massage. Adding to its appeal, the entertainment center cleverly conceals a walk-in pantry, maximizing storage.
The dual-entry bathroom leads directly into the primary bedroom, offering privacy and convenience. This travel trailer also has two entry doors—one in the bedroom and one in the living room—enhancing accessibility. Rivaling our favorite travel trailers for two under 30 feet, the Cougar 25FKD feels remarkably larger thanks to its smart floor plan.

Best Small Toy Hauler: Keystone Coleman 13T
Specs
- Length: 15’11”
- Dry Weight: 3,005 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,995 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4
The brand-new Coleman 13T measures under 16 feet in length, making it one of the smallest toy haulers on the market—yet it still sleeps up to four. With six tie-downs, it’s perfect for hauling bikes or a motorcycle. The garage door includes a full screen, allowing you to enjoy fresh air and scenic views while lounging in bed or working from the desk.
This camper features a clever and efficient floor plan, with a pop up desk located beneath a Murphy bed. The second bed sits inside a pop-out tent that folds neatly into the side of the trailer.
The compact kitchen offers a 12-volt refrigerator, two-burner stovetop, and a microwave/air fryer combo. Next to the kitchen is the wet bath—an uncommon feature in a travel trailer this size. Given the compact footprint, it’s impressive that Keystone managed to include a bathroom at all.
Runner Up
- Grey Wolf 18RR – Slightly larger at just over 24’, this toy hauler has a full bath and private bedroom. The garage door converts to a patio, an enjoyable feature.
Best Larger Toy Hauler: Forest River Grey Wolf 27RR

Images by Camping World
Specs
- Length: 34’2″
- Dry Weight: 6,924 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 3,071 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6
The Grey Wolf 27RR features a spacious garage measuring 132” by 92”, which opens onto a ramp patio with plenty of room for relaxing outdoors. One of this toy hauler’s greatest strengths is its smart separation of space. The garage includes two fold-down sofas and a removable table that converts into a bed, while the main bedroom sits at the front for added privacy.
A pass through bathroom connects the garage to the main living area, enhancing the separation between sleeping and lounging spaces. The U-shaped dinette faces the entertainment center and kitchen, which includes a built-in air fryer—one of my favorite features appearing in newer RVs.
The bedroom is separated from the main living area by a privacy curtain rather than a door, but if you’re hosting overnight guests in the garage, you’ll still enjoy privacy thanks to two doors between the spaces. An RV king mattress is surrounded by overhead storage paired with a dedicated wardrobe for clothing and essentials.
Runner Up
- Nightfall 27N – This toy hauler has both a Gaucho bed and an overhead Euro bed in the garage, in addition to the queen bed in the main bedroom. With 14’2’ length and 80” of tie-down space, you’ll have plenty of room for all the toys!

With a floor plan that immediately feels like home, the Campsite Reserve 39LA offers more living space than many apartments. The front kitchen provides abundant counterspace and features a residential refrigerator. A freestanding dinette seats four comfortably, while bar seating for two offers additional dining room—or a convenient workspace separate from the main table.
The living area features a spacious sectional sofa, complemented by a sleeper sofa, centered around a storage ottoman and facing the entertainment center.
The large bathroom includes a shower with a built-in seat. Just beyond the bathroom, stairs lead to two lofts: the larger loft sleeps two, while the second loft provides excellent extra storage.
In the main bedroom, you’ll find another entertainment center complete with a fireplace, washer and dryer hookups, and a private exterior entrance.
Runner Up
- Timberwolf 20OG – This destination trailer has full rear glass doors leading onto a patio! Enjoy other amenities like a washer, dryer, and dishwasher, while a spacious walk-through bathroom leads to the main bedroom.

What Travel Trailer Holds Its Value Best?
In many RV circles, brands like Airstream, Jayco, Forest River, and Grand Design are known for holding their value best. However, each camper’s value depends on the diligence and quality of regular care and maintenance. Seasonal and annual inspections will help new RV owners stay on top of maintenance tasks. Keeping a record of all services, repairs, and inspections will ultimately provide an added selling point when it comes time to list your RV for sale.
How Long Does a Travel Trailer Last?
With proper care and maintenance, even an entry-level travel trailer can last 10 to 20 years. The lifespan of a travel trailer depends on several factors, primarily usage, maintenance, and storage conditions. If you don’t maintain it or frequently expose it to harsh weather or neglect, that lifespan can decrease dramatically.
Whether you handle RV maintenance yourself or take it to a dealer, be sure to inspect the roof and seams at least once or twice a year. Also, driving speed has a significant impact on the wear and tear of a camper. The faster you go, the more everything rattles and shakes. Besides, remember that the journey is just as important as the destination!

nothing with a wide area or entry doors for wheelchairs,
Hi Sonny,
You may be interested in destination-style travel trailers that have a sliding glass entry door, or something like the Winnebago Roam camper van that’s designed for wheelchair accessibility: https://rv.campingworld.com/searchresults?custompricerange=true&search_mode=advanced&make=WINNEBAGO&brand=ROAM&scpc=fr2025-Winnebago-Roam-&forcedistance=nationwide

Just curious, where is Airstream? I have an ’87 Avion 34X which is actually just under 36′ ball to bumper, aluminum triple axle similar to an Airstream. It weighs 6600lbs empty and grosses at 9600lbs. These trailers are all smaller than it, and many are just as heavy if not heavier. Why are they so heavy? Is it the slide mechanisms? Personally I like the aluminum trailers because they last just about forever…you just have to replace the systems every 15-20 years but the basic structure lasts and lasts. What do you think of Class C motorhomes compared to travel trailers? My buddy really hurt his back carrying a hitch on vacation and it put him in the hospital. I’m not getting any younger and that Equal-I-Zer probably weighs 100 pounds with the bars and all. Has me thinking motorhomes….
