MOST CLASS C RVS ARE designed for families, but the main bed is typically smaller to accommodate enough sleeping for 4-6 people. This often means that parents have to sacrifice some of their sleeping space. However, that’s not the case if you seek the right Class C motorhome with a king bed. Whether you’re tall or want room to sprawl, many manufacturers are including king beds in their Class C RV floor plans.

Some include a king bed outright, and others choose a twin-to-king conversion to provide added versatility. Not sure if you need a Class C motorhome with a king bed? Let’s find out!

Key Takeaways

  • King bed options in Class C RVs are more common than ever, with manufacturers offering fixed king beds and twin-to-king conversions across small, mid-size, and Super C models to accommodate taller travelers or those seeking more sleeping space.
  • There’s a wide range of top Class C models with king beds, from compact options like the Jayco Redhawk SE 22TF and Thor Freedom Elite 25HZ to larger luxury models such as the Jayco Greyhawk XL 32U and Dynamax DX3 34KD, covering various needs for families, couples, and solo RVers.
  • Additional insights include a breakdown of RV king bed dimensions (typically 72” x 80”), the smallest Class C RV with a king bed (under 25 feet), and reliable Class C brands (Thor, Jayco, Winnebago), helping buyers make an informed choice based on comfort, size, and performance.

Best Class C RVs with a King-Sized Bed

With a king bed ready to go, these Class C RVs are perfect for the camper who wants a simple setup in a small to mid-size motorhome.

Jayco Greyhawk 27U

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 29’11”
  • GVWR: 14,500 pounds
  • Engine: 7.3L V8
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 7

The Greyhawk 27U packs a lot of functionality into a Class C RV under 30 feet. My favorite feature is the ability to go off-grid with the 4,000-watt generator with auto-start and the 1,000-watt inverter. Not every campsite has shore power, so these features expand your options to boondock or camp in parks with partial hookups.

Let’s talk about the bed for a second. Technically, the Greyhawk 27U falls between an RV King and an RV Queen. It’s wider than a typical RV queen at 66”, but it’s the length of an RV Short King at 76”. It’s an odd size, but we’ll give it a pass. If you’re a stickler for mattress measurements, check out all the RV bed sizes

At the front, the L-shaped kitchen provides multiple working surfaces with a countertop extension. The countertops also have LED lighting underneath, which is an added touch I’m noticing more and more. I would prefer a larger single basin sink over the split design, but that’s something I can easily overlook with the other features.

Other things you’ll love about the Greyhawk 27U:

  • Jayco’s signature JRide® Plus handling package
  • One-piece front cap with panoramic window
  • 15,000 BTU air conditioner with heat pump
  • Wireless charging pads in the nightstands

Thor Quantum KW29

Specs

  • Length: 31’
  • GVWR: 14,500 pounds
  • Engine: 7.3L V8
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 5

The Quantum KW29 is a bright, compact, functional class C RV with a short king bed. Its excellent design choices improve the RV experience on the road and when camping.

My favorite bonus features of the KW29 include the combination stove, which includes one induction and two gas cooktops. Camp chefs can decide which burner works best for their cooking. Above the stovetop is a two-shelf spice rack to store seasonings within easy reach while prepping meals. I low-key want to steal this idea for my house!

The bedroom has a short king bed measuring 72” by 74”, which leaves plenty of room for anyone under six feet tall to spread out. If you are extra tall, this RV might not make the cut, but you can explore this selection of campers for tall people. The bedroom also features a closet prepped for a washer and dryer, a luxury most small RVs can’t include.

Other features you’ll love about the KW29:

  • Dual 11,000 BTU air conditioners
  • Cabover skylight
  • 8,000-pound trailer hitch
  • Two driver-side slides
  • 100-watt solar charging system

Specs

  • Length: 32’9”
  • GVWR: 15,500 pounds
  • Engine: 7.3L V8
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 2

The Concord 321DS is a luxury class C RV with a king bed, ideal for couples on the go. Starting at the front, give your sore muscles the relaxation they deserve in the power reclining theater seats with heat and massage features while watching a movie on the 39” Smart TV.

The kitchen features a large under-mount stainless steel sink, a two-burner induction cooktop, and a convection microwave oven. If you purchase this RV, I highly recommend adding the optional dishwasher, especially if you’re a full-time camper. The countertops also include an LED light strip around their exterior, giving the interior an extra luxurious feel.

The power incline 72” by 80” residential king bed is perfect for a great night’s sleep in the rear bedroom. The wardrobe provides plenty of storage, so opting to include the washer/dryer combination is the way to go.

Other features you’ll love about the 321DS:

  • Optional hydraulic leveling jacks
  • On-demand tankless water heater
  • 7,500-pound towing hitch with 7-way plug
  • 400-watt roof-mounted solar charging system

Class C RVs with Twin-to-King Bed Conversion

These RVs give more flexibility. Choose to sleep separately in the two twin beds or create a sprawling king with the conversion.

Thor Freedom Elite 25HZ

Specs

  • Length: 26’5” (Ford) or 26’11” (Chevy)
  • GVWR: 12,300 (Chevy) or 12,500 pounds (Ford)
  • Engine: 7.3L V8 (Ford) or 6.6L V8 (Chevy)
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

The Freedom Elite 25HZ is an excellent choice for people looking for a functional floor plan with a lower price tag. Choose between a Ford or Chevrolet chassis and hit the road with confidence in the build quality of this compact Class C with a king bed.

The bedroom comes with more perks than just the twin-to-king bed conversion. There are USB power stations for charging phones, smartwatches, and other electronics. There’s even a 12V outlet to run something like a CPAP machine!

The kitchen includes a two-burner gas stove and a convection microwave oven. Though the counterspace is modest, the flip-up countertop extension extends the working surface, and the dinette provides an extra place to prep veggies.

The tankless water heater allows for on-demand hot water in the shower. My only wish is for a larger shower. Space is tight in an RV around 25 feet, but I’d sacrifice a bit of storage to trade in the corner shower.

Some other features you’ll love in the 25HZ:

  • 13,500 BTU roof air conditioner
  • Black tank flush system
  • 32” swivel-mounted Smart TV in the cabover
  • Stainless steel wheel liners

Jayco Redhawk SE 22TF

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 24’8”
  • GVWR: 12,500 pounds
  • Engine: 7.3L V8
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

A Class C RV with a king bed that’s under 25 feet? Yes, please. The Redhawk SE 22TF is petite and light, but still has all the comforts you need. Despite not having a slide, this floor plan is very open and easy to navigate, with everything designed to fit perfectly in the frame. The versatile dinette area includes a removable table with a space to dine, play games, or work from the road.

The kitchen features a two-burner gas stove with a glass cover for increased working surface. Jayco could explore adding a flip-up counter extension to provide a more working surface, but you could easily use the dinette.

My favorite feature is the 24” by 36” rectangular shower. In an RV this small without a slide, you’d expect a more traditional corner 27” by 27” shower. It’s a small luxury that can make a big difference on the road.

Some other things you’ll love about the SE 22TF:

  • 43-gallon fresh water tank
  • StrongholdVBLTM walkable roof
  • Optional 200-watt solar panel
  • 4,000-watt generator

The Redhawk is available on two chassis. The one outlined here is built on a Ford. Explore the Chevrolet specs and details, but know that it has more limited availability than its Ford cousin.

Thor Four Winds ESpec 25Z

Specs

  • Length: 26’5” (Ford) or 26’11” (Chevy)
  • GVWR: 12,500 (Ford) or 12,300 pounds (Chevy)
  • Engine: 7.3L V8 (Ford) or 6.6L V8 (Chevy)
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

The 2025 Four Winds ESpec 25Z is a new floor plan in Thor’s longstanding Four Winds lineup. This Class C RV with a twin-to-king bed conversion boasts everything you need in a compact, comfortable motorhome and is incredibly affordable.

This traditional layout with one slide features a Dream Dinette™, a spacious 52” by 96” cabover bunk, and a fully functioning bathroom with a 27” by 27” neo-angled shower.

If you want to bring a small toy trailer or a day-use car, both chassis have an 8,000-pound hitch weight rating. With a 41-gallon fresh water tank and up to 30 gallons in your black water tank, you can feel confident staying at your campsite for an extended time.

Other great features of the 25Z include:

  • 65 cubic feet of exterior storage
  • 30,000 BTU furnace
  • Tankless water heater
  • Two-burner stove

Super C RVs with a King Bed

As the heavy-duty haulers on the list, these Super C RVs with a king bed are perfect for campers who want more space, towing capacity, and amenities. Built on more powerful chassis, Super C motorhomes are ideal for experienced RVers looking for that little something extra.

Jayco Greyhawk XL 32U

Specs

  • Length: 33’5”
  • GVWR: 19,500 pounds
  • Engine: 6.7L V8
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 5

If you like the Greyhawk 27U but want more towing capacity, meet the Greyhawk XL 32U. While the layout is the same as its smaller cousin, the Greyhawk XL is longer and wider, so it has more interior living space. It also comes with a more powerful engine.

The diesel-powered Ford® F-550 4×4 chassis provides incredible performance and can haul up to 12,000 pounds. It also has a few additional safety features, such as Pre-Collision Assist® with automatic braking, SOS Post Crash Alert SystemTM, and a Safety Canopy® system with roll-fold side-curtain airbags.

It also includes an Onan® 6,000-watt generator with auto-gen start and a 2,000-watt inverter. A 200-watt solar panel with a dual controller and a second house battery allow you to go off-grid longer.

Other features of the Greyhawk XL 32U that you’ll love:

  • Ford® AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (roll stability control)
  • Ford® SYNC® 4 infotainment center
  • 42.5 gallon fresh water capacity
  • 58 cubic feet of exterior cargo

Explore an identical floor plan in the Entegra Coach Esteem XL 32U.

Thor Omni Trail R36

Specs

  • Length: 37’2”
  • GVWR: 22,000 pounds
  • Engine: 6.7L V8
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6

The Omni Trail R36 is an excellent option for traveling families. This Super C RV with a king bed also includes a bunkhouse for additional sleeping for kids or visitors. If you don’t need it, easily convert the bunkhouse to a closet for extra storage.

The driver-side super slide expands the living area while the RV is parked at a campsite. The closet in the rear bedroom is prepped for a washer and dryer installation.

The galley features a three-burner gas stove and a dual-basin sink. Thor should consider including a countertop extension because the stove’s and the sink’s orientation reduces the working space.

Stay cool in this Super C RV with dual roof air conditioners in the living room and bedroom. Control the RV’s interior climate through the 7” touchscreen panel with Rapid Camp+® wiring.

Additional things you’ll love about the R36:

  • Fully enclosed and heated holding tanks
  • An external kitchen and TV
  • Pop up wireless phone chargers
  • Basement pass through storage

Dynamax DX3 34KD

Images by Dynamax RV

Specs

  • Length: 36’8”
  • GVWR: 33,000 pounds
  • Engine: 9L Turbo Diesel V6
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 5

The powerhouse on this list is the DX3 34KD. Built on a Freightliner® M2 106 Plus chassis, this Super C RV with a king bed combines luxury with superior performance. This is the most expensive RV on our list, but that price tag comes with many bells and whistles.

Travel farther without stopping with 100 gallons of fuel capacity housed in twin 50-gallon aluminum tanks. Haul up to 20,000 pounds and enjoy superior driving comfort with the Airliner® 21,000-pound shock-absorbing rear suspension.

The floor plan is incredibly spacious and includes ample storage. I love that it has a separate laundry closet, so you don’t have to give up wardrobe space if you add a washer and dryer.

Other things you’ll love about the DX3 34KD:

  • Gel-infused memory foam mattress
  • Quad-view camera system
  • 94-gallon fresh water tank
  • Oxygenics Body Spa® RV shower head
