Deep breath. Yes, that’s the smell of crisp, fresh linen in your RV. That’s because you decided to get a motorhome with washer and dryer prep!

Let’s face it—clean clothes can feel like a luxury when you’re camping. For most RVers, washing a load of clothes means waiting until the end of a trip, using campground facilities (if available), or finding a laundromat between destinations. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Many motorhomes are prepped for a washer and dryer, giving you the freedom to do laundry wherever you park. Whether you’re a full-timer or weekend traveler, these RVs make staying fresh on the road easier than ever.

Key Takeaways

  • Motorhomes with washer and dryer prep let RVers do laundry anywhere, eliminating the need for laundromats or campground facilities and making extended travel or full-time RV living more convenient.
  • Featured Class A models, such as the Forest River Georgetown Series, Jayco Precept 36C, and Thor A.C.E. 29G, offer residential-style comfort and dedicated laundry space.
  • Top class C choices, such as the Jayco Seneca 37K, Seneca Prestige 37M, and Dynamax Isata 6 31KS, offer versatile, laundry-ready layouts in smaller, more maneuverable builds.

Class A RVs with Washer and Dryer Prep

Class A RVs are usually considered the most luxurious RV class. These motorhomes offer residential-style features and plenty of power to run a washer and dryer. For an RV that feels like home on the road–laundry included–here’s our top picks.

Forest River Georgetown 3 Series 29S3

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 32’5”
  • Chassis: Ford® F-53
  • W/D Prep Location: Bedroom
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

The Georgetown 3 Series 29S3 is the perfect entry-level RV with a washer and dryer. It’s compact, affordable, and under 35 feet.

Starting at the front, the driver-side slide opens up the space for a large living and lounge area. The kitchen features a dual-basin stainless steel sink, a gas stove, and a residential-style microwave. Across the way is a sofa and dinette with safety seatbelts for four additional passengers. I think this RV is most suited for couples, but if you have small kids or extra guests, you can set up the manual overhead bunk to sleep up to four.

The bedroom features a massive wardrobe with ample hanging space and a washer-dryer prep area. My favorite feature in the bedroom is the entertainment center with a fireplace opposite the queen bed. Normally, this feature is located in the living room, but incorporating it into the bedroom adds a cozy vibe to the space.

Additional things to love about the 29S3 include:

  • 52-gallon fresh water, 42-gallon gray water, and 42-gallon black water tanks
  • Two house batteries
  • One-piece fiberglass roof
  • Two 13,000 BTU ducted air conditioning units

Forest River Georgetown 5 Series 34M

Specs

  • Length: 37’11”
  • Chassis: Ford® F-53
  • W/D Prep Location: Bedroom
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4

The Georgetown 5 Series is a step up from the 3 Series, offering more space, slides, and a king bed in the Georgetown 34M

When you step into this RV, you’re invited into a welcoming space with a large dinette, power-theater seats, and an entertainment center featuring a fireplace. The kitchen includes a similar setup to the 3 Series, but offers a much larger residential fridge.

This motorhome separates the privy from the shower, allowing both to be used simultaneously. However, as with the 3 Series, the bedroom is where this floorplan stands out. With opposing slides, the 34M includes a residential king bed, three large closets, and two dressers. If this were my RV, I would use the dresser by the window for remote work on the road.

Additional things to love about the 34M include:

  • 80-gallon fresh water, 52-gallon gray water, and 52-gallon black water tanks
  • Outside TV
  • Electric overhead bunk
  • 18-foot awning

For larger and more compact options, compare the 36F and 31L floor plans.

Specs

  • Length: 37’11”
  • Chassis: Ford® F-53
  • W/D Prep Location: Bedroom
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 5

If you’re looking for something more luxurious, Forest River offers the Georgetown 7 Series. The Georgetown 36D offers comfortable living and entertaining spaces, along with a spa-like rear bathroom.

Two things stand out about this RV—it features 1.5 bathrooms and boasts four reclining theater seats. Having a half bath is one of those little luxuries on the road, even when traveling with just two. The rear bath features a spacious residential shower and a dual-sink vanity for added convenience. The power-tilt king bed provides versatility not every motorhome offers—the inclined position opens up floor space and offers more comfort for reading or TV viewing, while it easily reclines to a traditional bed at the touch of a button.

Additional things to love about the 36D:

  • 73-gallon fresh water, 52-gallon gray water, and 52-gallon black water tanks
  • Power overhead bunk
  • 35,000 BTU furnace
  • Front and rear 15,000 BTU ducted air conditioners

For smaller and larger options, compare the 31X and 36K floor plans.

Jayco Precept 36C

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 38’10”
  • Chassis: Ford® F-53
  • W/D Prep Location: Half Bath
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 7

The Precept 36C is another excellent option for couples or families interested in living on the road. Although it measures under 40 feet, this RV is incredibly spacious.

The 36C features three slides, with one being a super slide on the campside. It also features a spacious lounge area with theater seating and a hide-a-bed sofa for accommodating extra guests. This RV would be my choice for tailgating because of the 50” smart TV that pops right out of the dinette on a televator.

The washer and dryer prep for this motorhome is located in the half bath. I like that choice as it leaves the two full wardrobes in the bedroom open for clothing or extra storage. The bedroom features a king bed with a TV cabinet over the dresser, and the rear full bath includes a large shower.

Additional things to love about the 36C include:

  • 72-gallon tank capacity for fresh, gray, and black water
  • Four options for body paint
  • JRide® Plus ride and handling package
  • 21-cubic-foot refrigerator

For a more compact layout, compare the Precept 34G.

Thor A.C.E. 29G

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 30’9”
  • Chassis: Ford® F-53
  • W/D Prep Location: Bedroom
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6

Many people shy away from Class A motorhomes due to their size, but the A.C.E. 29G is a great option for RVers who want the luxury of a Class A while maintaining a compact design. This cute motorhome measures in at just under 31 feet.

I love this motorhome, especially for couples. It’s affordable and has a great design. Upgrade to the theater seating for a little bit more luxury, and the living room becomes a relaxing retreat at the end of the day.

This A.C.E. RV features a corner layout for the kitchen, complete with a flip-up countertop extension. I’m a fan of corner kitchens because they are easier to work in–everything is just one pivot away. Thor could remove the mirror and replace it with a thin spice cabinet for extra storage.

Additional things to love about the 29G include:

  • 50-gallon fresh water, 40-gallon gray water, and 40-gallon black water tanks
  • Camp king bed
  • 8,000-pound hitch rating
  • Seven seatbelts

Class C RVs with Washer and Dryer Prep

Class C RVs are known for their versatility and are often lower cost than Class A motorhomes. With a wide variety of sizes, some mid-to-large Class C RVs come laundry-ready.

Jayco Seneca 37K

Specs

  • Length: 39’4”
  • Chassis: Freightliner® S2RV Plus
  • W/D Prep Location: Bedroom
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6

Hit the road full-time in the Seneca 37K. This diesel motorhome is a powerhouse built on the powerful S2RV Plus chassis. This is a luxury RV, but the layout and features make it worth the price.

Step into the front, where a massive 93” reclining sofa sits across from a cozy entertainment center featuring a 39” TV and fireplace. Keep all the necessary ingredients in the oversized pantry and residential fridge. Tucked behind the entertainment center is a half bath with a vanity and medicine cabinet.

The rear bedroom features a power-lift residential king bed, a large wardrobe, and a washer and dryer prep area. The bathroom has a second wardrobe for any overflow.

Additional things to love about the 37K include:

  • 72-gallon fresh water, 51-gallon gray water, and 40-gallon black water tanks
  • 100-gallon diesel fuel capacity
  • 155 cubic feet of exterior storage space
  • 30,000 BTU auto-ignition furnace

Jayco Seneca Prestige 37M

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 39’4”
  • Chassis: Freightliner® S2RV Plus
  • W/D Prep Location: Hallway
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8

Get in, folks—we’re going tailgating. If I’m looking to make everyone jealous during football season, I’m doing it in the Seneca Prestige 37M. This diesel Class C motorhome, equipped with washer/dryer prep, is designed for entertaining.

With swiveling cockpit chairs, 72” power theater seating, and a dinette, everyone can sit around and enjoy the big game. Okay, I will admit that the 50” smart TV is technically behind the jackknife sofa, so that cuts into your total seating capacity if everyone wants a view of the TV. But I still think this is a solid option for entertaining.

The midship bathroom is spacious, and Jayco moved the washer and dryer prep to the hallway outside of the bedroom. Speaking of the bedroom, it includes a residential king bed with a power lift, two large wardrobes, and a dresser.

Additional things to love about the 37M include:

  • 72-gallon fresh water, 80-gallon gray water, and 50-gallon black water tanks
  • Matte-finish woodgrain porcelain floor tile with heated floor mat
  • Onan® 8,000W diesel generator with auto-gen start
  • Dual 15,000 BTU air conditioners

Dynamax Isata 6 31KS

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 34’1”
  • Chassis: Ford® F600 XLT
  • W/D Prep Location: Bedroom
  • Sleeping Capacity: Up to 5

If you’re looking for a more compact Super C RV with washer and dryer prep, the Isata 6 31KS might be more your speed. This motorhome measures 34 feet, making it easier to drive and navigate through tight campgrounds or RV parks.

This diesel RV features an entrance positioned a little farther back, which breaks up the space in the living room into a nice flow. There’s a broom closet for small gear, cleaning supplies, and overflow directly to the left of the entryway. The galley kitchen features a 15-cubic-foot refrigerator, an induction cooktop, and an oversized stainless steel sink. The queen bed is tucked into a small alcove, alongside a washer/dryer prep area, a wardrobe, and a dresser, providing ample storage space.

Additional things to love about the 31KS include:

  • 78-gallon fresh water, 45-gallon gray water, and 45-gallon black water tanks
  • Truma® AquaGo Comfort Plus™ On-Demand Water Heater
  • 16-foot awning
  • DynaRide+ Upgraded Suspension System

What Are the Benefits of an RV Washer-Dryer?

Having an RV washer and dryer lets you ditch coin-operated laundry machines, shared facilities, and Everest-sized piles of dirty clothes at the end of your trips. Travel longer, pack lighter, and keep things fresh on the go. In short, an RV washer and dryer gives you freedom!

What’s the Smallest Motorhome with Washer and Dryer Prep?

An RV washer and dryer take up room and require the appropriate power. Smaller motorhomes may not have space to accommodate laundry units, or the power required to operate them. Even still, the Forest River Georgetown 3 Series and Thor A.C.E. models offer compact motorhomes with washer-dryer prep.

Can You Put a Residential Washer and Dryer in an RV?

Generally, residential washers and dryers use more water and have higher power requirements than those designed for RV use. We recommend installing washer and dryer units designed specifically for motorhomes.
