About Contributor

THERE’S A SPARK OF DISCOVERY when you step into an RV that just feels right. Maybe it’s a familiar floor plan you’ve seen a hundred times, but something about this one makes it feel new, exciting, and full of possibilities. Walking the rows of hundreds of brand-new 2026 models at the Hershey RV show this year, that’s the moment of confirmation we’re looking for, that this RV truly stands out in its class.

From clever lightweight campers that pack surprising versatility to fifth wheels and destination trailers that feel like modern homes, this year’s lineup promises innovation and improvement on last year’s selections. But which—and how? We’ve sifted through the numbers to bring you a curated list of standout floor plans that truly impressed us—whether for their smart layouts, fresh ideas, or that instant wow factor when you walk inside.

Each year, RV manufacturers have the chance to build on successes, correct course, address customer feedback, mimic competitors, upgrade components, or strike into unknown territory with new RVs and models. This year, we saw continued activity in the destination trailer segment (a theme), hybrid bunk models that show a desire to sleep more guests comfortably, and other notable trends, including throwback interior designs, full-body paint schemes, side patios, and new approaches to making life at the campground easier, more comfortable, and more fun.

Lightweight Towables

Walking through the show’s most compact rigs, we saw multi-use furniture, rear-entry layouts, and even built-in desk spaces that make them perfect for couples or small families. Here are a couple that stood out as game-changers for travelers who want flexibility without the bulk.

Coleman 13S

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 15’11”
  • Dry Weight: 2,830 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,170 pounds

With its rear entry, unconventional floor plan, and uniquely compact size, the 13S is among the newest small Keystone Coleman travel trailers that offer impressive living and sleeping arrangements in a camper under sixteen feet in length.

A jackknife sofa and flip-down bunk offer the auxiliary sleeping spots in addition to the primary 50” x 74” bed. We assume this setup would well suit families with small kids—or if you’d like to host the occasional close friend—otherwise, the 13S is ideal for couples. Need to do a little remote work? We like the multi-functional desk area that could serve as a place to work, watch TV, or prep food, complete with a fireplace and storage beneath.

Runner-up: The Rockwood Geo-Pro 19RL is one of the most compact rear living floor plans we’ve seen. The front queen bedroom offers great separation from the living area’s theater seats, which come with swiveling tray tables for comfortable dining.

Travel Trailers for Couples

These couple-focused floor plans struck a balance between cozy and spacious, with some featuring central islands, theater seating, and massive picture windows that make camp mornings feel special. They’re not just for weekend trips, either—we saw layouts that could easily support longer adventures without feeling cramped.

Campsite Ultra 25JT

26Campsite_25JT copy

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 30’1”
  • Dry Weight: 6,808 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 927 pounds

As the first Campsite Ultra with dual opposing slides, we were excited to see how Forest River would utilize this type of space in one of the fastest-growing brands in its segment. Lo and behold, the payoff is in a spacious kitchen with a kitchen island and extendable counterspace as well as a rear wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. In the grand scheme, that rear window complements the Strike Guard windshield above the bed in the front bedroom, which is another visual high note from the Ultra 25JT.

Other advantages of this couples camper include spacious hidden storage behind the entertainment center — another Campsite calling card — as well as the dual entry to the bathroom, which makes the 25JT better suited for hosting guests.

Wildwood 270ZEN

FOREST_RIVER_WILDWOOD_270ZEN Floor Plan

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 33’7”
  • Dry Weight: 8,598 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,687 pounds

In many ways, the Wildwood 270ZEN feels like the most fully realized form of the ZEN trim-level campers. That’s due in part to a few bold design choices that paid off: the large rear window complemented by dual customized recliners, the hidden microwave behind a circular mirror, and the unique blade lighting that runs along the ceiling congruently with the kitchen island.

On a practical level, the 270ZEN suits couples who prioritize having their own space. Even as the dual opposing slides dramatically expand the living area and kitchen, the setup is better suited for a dinner party than hosting sleepover guests. And what a backdrop for a dinner party—the central island with barstool seating, paired with elegant mid-century modern design cues. This camper is a natural fit for anyone who wants their RV to feel as polished as their home.

Rockwood Mini Lite 2523MBR

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 25’10”
  • Dry Weight: 6,313 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,397 pounds

For a couples camper under 26 feet, it’s hard to beat the front kitchen layout of the 2523MBR. The mounted TV, barstool countertop, and theater seats in the slideout give the front space multi-purpose flexibility—you can host friends, cook dinner, and keep up with the game without ever feeling cramped. Meanwhile, couples can easily and comfortably retreat to a spacious queen slideout bedroom and rear bath.

But Rockwood’s known construction quality seals the deal, need you be reminded. With its six-sided aluminum frame (and even aluminum bed frame supports), fully laminated walkable roof, solar/inverter setup, and climate protection package, this is a tough camper you can have confidence in.

Rockwood Ultra Lite 2908SRL

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 35’4”
  • Dry Weight: 7,873 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,076 pounds

The rear living setup of the 2908SRL reminds me a lot of a front living fifth wheel, with three-sided guest sitting, a centralized entertainment center and fireplace, dual slideouts, and hide-a-bed sleeping options. Meanwhile, a barstool countertop adds additional seating and connects the kitchen with the living area. If anything, camp chefs might prefer a more unified space, but this is a unique open concept that many will appreciate.

For couples who want to entertain, the 2908SRL stands out. As part of Rockwood’s Ultra Lite line, it carries many of the same trusted construction features found in the aforementioned Mini Lite series.

Travel Trailers For Families

Multi-level bunks, convertible gaming lounges, and dedicated desk spaces made these kid-friendly family layouts stand out. Parents get private retreats, kids get hangout zones, and everyone wins with big outdoor kitchens and thoughtful storage.

Coleman Lantern 32BHS

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 36’11”
  • Dry Weight: 7,640 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,860 pounds

Simple, open, and expansive, the Lantern 32BHS is the line’s largest floor plan and features a private double over double rear bunk room that is as far away from the front king bedroom as you can possibly get. With a wide, inviting living room and kitchen inbetween, this layout is great for families who enjoy privacy but want a large gathering area for games, dinners, and more. The double entry and bath-and-a-half are bonuses to this already independent layout.

If you’re new to the Keystone Coleman Lantern line, some of our favorite features include solid surface countertops, 82” ceilings, standard 50” televisions, large refrigerators, and tankless water heaters. These affordable travel trailers include a number of residential features that perfectly suit families.

Campsite Reserve 29TJ

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 36’11”
  • Dry Weight: 7,353 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,642 pounds

At nearly 37 feet, the Campsite Reserve 29TJ is an all-new 2026 floor plan that offers a completely private rear bunk room, boasting single bunks on one side and double bunks on the other. A couple things here: families will enjoy a dedicated kid’s room that may even serve adult guests. Secondly, that single bunk makes room for the sizeable outdoor kitchen, which is a huge benefit when you’re traveling with a larger group.

You’ll get all of the favorite Campsite Reserve calling cards, including tons of storage—pantry, hidden storage behind the entertainment center, wardrobe storage in the bunks—and those iconic panoramic windows. And that’s just on the interior. Don’t forget about the rust-resistant X9 chassis and hyper smooth UltraRide® suspension system, which we’ve tested and approve.

Wildwood 300ICE

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 35’10”
  • Dry Weight: 7,893 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,952 pounds

One of the themes we’ve seen in 2026 are a number hybrid bunk models that utilize rear and front bunkrooms in new and unique ways. Chief among them may be the Wildwood 300ICE. Let’s list some of the notable capabilities of this split-room bunkhouse. On the left side, enjoy a quaint drop down desk before a small staircase accesses a top single bunkbed, great for one person. However, that bed also converts to a top king bunk if you drop the separating “wall”. On the other side, enjoy a comfortable den with a sofa and TV prep.

And that’s just the bunkroom. The midship kitchen and living room also offer unique advantages, including a pull-out table with a built-in electric fireplace that adds versatility, a stylish smoke vent above the rangetop, panoramic windows, and a televator TV. This is an eccentric yet comfortable RV that’s worth seeing in person.

Ozark 2890BHK

FOREST_RIVER_OZARK_2890BHK floor plan

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 35’4”
  • Dry Weight: 7,243 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,552 pounds

Looking for a midsized bunk model with two private bedrooms? Check out the Ozark 2890BHK. This is a versatile family camper that offers more than what you see at first glance. Take for example the Versa-Lounge in the living space, which can be an L-shaped sofa with a two-person table or work desk, a three-seat sofa with a 4-person dinette, or an extra bed for guests. Again, this may be one you see and experience in person—there’s a lot of versatility room to room.

Meanwhile, a spacious rear bunk room feels fully realized, and the same is true of the front primary bedroom with a Versa Tilt custom king bed. Storage abounds with two pull out pantries, hidden shelves behind the entertainment center, and wardrobe storage in the bedroom.

Fifth Wheels for Couples

Touring fifth wheels at Hershey, we found models that felt like luxury condos—rear dens, panoramic windows, chef-inspired kitchens, and spa-like bathrooms—all in rigs still manageable for weekenders or seasonal travelers. The following picks are designed for couples’ comfort wherever you setup camp.

Wildwood Heritage Glen 380WDR

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 42’10”
  • Dry Weight: 13,009 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 3,341 pounds

In the first few days at Hershey, you start hearing rumors of certain new models, those that have stood out among the hundreds of floor plans. This year, the Heritgage Glen 380WDR was one of those standout models. In back, its main feature is a wraparound, spacious rear den with perpendicular tri-fold sofa and theater seating, a full entertainment center, desk area, and pantry. Something about this just flows. Perhaps the central dining table with an extendable end brings everything together.

Need you be reminded that this is a couples camper, look no further than the combo primary bathroom and walk-in closet at the front of this fifth wheel. Featuring dual basin sinks, a large shower, linen closets, and a wide entry into the shelved walk-in closet, this area feels expansive and homelike.

Arctic Wolf 289PANO

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 34’9”
  • Dry Weight: 9,348 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,622 pounds

On the shorter end for a fifth wheel, the 289PANO impresses with panoramic windows in the rear living area that flood the interior with natural light. If 2026 is the year of the l-shaped sofa, the 289PANO may be helping to lead the charge. We’ve also seen a few floor plans like this that extend the countertop to what would otherwise be a kitchen island, effectively creating a galley-type kitchen bumped up against the l-shaped sofa. It’s a cool design that further integrates the kitchen with the living area. Meanwhile, the front bedroom and walk-through bath provide comfort and privacy—the exact kind of separation you’ll want from such a welcoming rear living space.

Rockwood Signature 401SFB

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 40’
  • Dry Weight: 11,460 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,036 pounds

Like the previous unit on our list, the Signature’s 401SFB leading charm is its spacious front bath and walk-in closet, featuring floor-to-ceiling wardrobes and a dual basin sink and countertop in the bathroom that runs along the campside wall. Complete with washer/dryer prep, this front bed/bath/wardrobe design is a great setup for couples interested in extended camping trips.

In the rear, the living area features dual opposing slides, a tri-fold sofa, and theater seating, creating a welcoming place to host guests or relax on your own. Meanwhile the mid-kitchen includes an island with a trashcan pullout and freestanding dinette for residential comfort. We’re big fans of the window combo that pairs panoramic windows with easy pulldown blackout shades.

5th Wheels For Families

Family fifth wheels always draw a crowd. We toured bunkhouses with room to spare, lounges that felt like family game rooms, and even one with a side patio that completely changes the camping experience. These family 5th wheels blend residential features—like washer/dryer prep and huge kitchens—with layouts that keep everyone happy for longer stays.

Campsite Elite 36RF

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 42’9”
  • Dry Weight: 12,588 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,800 pounds

This year Forest River Campsite introduced its first-ever fifth wheels, the Campsite Elite. The 36RF is a stylish mid-bunk floor plan with rear living, great for RV families who loved the aesthetic and function of the Campsite Reserve and Utlra but want more space and sleeping options in fifth wheel form. You’ll enjoy classics like panoramic windows, cubby storage, and hidden storage behind the entertainment center as well as new adaptations, like the pull-down bunk in the mid-bunk room.

Campsite always has a few tricks up their sleeve. We enjoyed the solid surface bartop on the kitchen island, the projector and accompanying screen in the primary bedroom, and the mirrored closet with washer/dryer hookups in the same room.

Montana High Country 351BH

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 39’
  • Dry Weight: 13,278 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 3,377 pounds

Need a private bunkroom in your family fifth wheel? The 351BH offers an interesting take, incorporating a mid-ship living area that seamlessly transitions to a private rear bunk room. Inside, you’ll find two 60”x74” bunks, large windows, and a ladder with its own storage spot. If you get the chance, check out the living area in person. This is reminiscent of a two bedroom fifth wheel, but at a shorter overall length.

Other notable features include a large outdoor kitchen, residential appliances, two extending countertops on the kitchen island, washer/dryer hookups, and a front primary suite that serves as the ultimate parents’ escape.

Alliance Paradigm 388SP

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 40’11”
  • Dry Weight: TBD
  • Cargo Capacity: TBD

Side patios are gaining in popularity this year, and the Paradigm 388SP is one that’s leading the charge. The setup here is slightly different than others we’ve seen: instead of simply extending your living area or kitchen with a patio, this incorporates a passthrough window to the kitchen with an outdoor bartop, giving the patio—and your kitchen—some separation. The flip up window and countertop are stylish, functional, and were certainly eye-catching at the show.

But don’t let the patio take all the attention. This fifth wheel felt completely residential and substantial. With a modern, bright design, lots of shelved storage, an impressive primary bedroom wardrobe next to washer/dryer closet, and many more subtle yet practical touches, the 388SP was a highlight among the RVs we saw this year.

Destination Trailers

Stepping into these destination trailers felt like walking into a lakeside cabin—but on wheels. Our top picks deliver massive picture windows, lofted bedrooms, and open-concept kitchens that would impress even non-campers. Built for seasonal stays and extended comfort, this year’s updates leaned heavily into residential styling with just the right touches of RV innovation.

Wildwood Grand Lodge 42ZEN

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 44’11”
  • Dry Weight: 14,404 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,400 pounds

Modern, residential, highlighted by a wide-open living space and massive, airy windows — we’ve seen this floor plan before, but completed in “ZEN” fashion gave this Grand Lodge a leg up against other double loft destination trailers. The blade lighting running along the ceiling is a nice touch, and you may remember the custom barstool chairs at the kitchen island from previous ZEN RVs. Small touches like the flip down table with recessed footing in the loft, washer/dryer prep in the bathroom, the arched doorway design, and the Versa Tilt king bed all make this destination trailer stand out.

Campsite Reserve 39LA

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 43’9”
  • Dry Weight: 12,194 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,806 pounds

If you’re looking for the next boundary-pushing destination trailer, this year it was the Campsite Reserve 39LA, an impressive front kitchen floor plan that seamlessly blends the kitchen and living area while offering bedroom and loft options in the rear. Dedicated dining can be found in the kitchen slideout, offering freestanding table and chairs. Meanwhile, a bartop counter facing the living area and entertainment center is nice new touch.

Perhaps coming at no surprise, storage is one of the 39LA’s best assets. With a massive pantry, overhead cabinets, pocket cabinets, stairway storage, and unique overhead shelving in the kitchen, we saw even more innovation coming from the Campsite team when it came to utilizing every corner of space on the 39LA. There’s a vibe to this one that is especially family-friendly.

Lost Pines SEQUOIA

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: TBD
  • Dry Weight: TBD
  • Cargo Capacity: TBD

There was a lot of buzz surrounding two destination trailers from Forest River, tucked away near some impressive Riverstone fifth wheels. These were the Forest River Lost Pines units — Sequoia and Hemlock — of which Sequoia was our favorite.

Inspired by Northern Michigan’s wilderness, Lost Pines outfits large, conventional, high-ceilinged destination trailers with significant luxury touches, from front to back. Everything here is on the luxurious side of residential, including a gourmet kitchen with Samsung appliances, a bathroom with the largest showerhead we might have seen anywhere, and a large dedicated primary bedroom with a large king bed and modern design.

Toy Haulers

From ultra-compact hybrids to additions to trusted half-ton towable lineups, our favorite toy haulers at Hershey offer more than just garage space. For adventurers who want to haul gear and relax in style, these models checked both boxes in fresh new ways.

Campsite Reserve 19KR

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Overall Length: 26’
  • Garage Length: ~10’
  • Dry Weight: 4,993 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 2,732 pounds

The 19KR is an ideal couples toyhauler with a camp king bed in the front and a rear kitchen/dining area that features two swiveling chair recliners. This is compact layout that priortizes the couple rather than entertaining guests. But with the garage down, there’s no better way to enjoy campsite cooking.

Centrally, the entertainment center conceals hidden shelves, and the bathroom offers a larger tub-shower combo. Outside you’ll enjoy pass through storage, an outdoor kitchen, an awning, and that 90” x 76” ramp door patio. What’s more, check out that patio tent cover…

Coleman 13T

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Overall Length: 16’1”
  • Garage Length: 10’3”
  • Dry Weight: 3,005 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 1,995 pounds

Making its debut at America’s Largest RV Show, the Coleman 13T is one of the smallest toy haulers out there, and a hybrid camper to boot! At about 16 feet in length, this RV offers easy loadability with a dropdown garage, a Murphy bed as your primary bed, and a unique pop-out side tent for added sleeping capacity—not to mention a full front kitchen and a small, but functional wet bath.

If you want that traditional feeling of sleeping in a tent (without sleeping on the ground or fighting to find a level sleeping surface) simply drop the garage door, keep the netting closed, and this is the closest thing to sleeping under the stars as you’ll get from an affordable, small camper.

Nightfall 276N

FOREST_RIVER_NIGHTFALL_276N floor plan

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Overall Length: 32’3”
  • Garage Length: ~16’
  • Dry Weight: 9,734 pounds
  • Cargo Capacity: 14,759 pounds

Nightfall is known for offering mid-sized toy haulers that bring real hauling ability without sacrificing the comforts of home. Now, they’ve added a fifth wheel to the lineup with some of those same qualities. A 16’ x 80” garage features 5,000-lb tiedowns, a manual Euro queen bunk with 600-pound capacity, and convertible gaucho sofas on either side. Great for a couple, the private front bedroom includes a large closet. Outside, you’ll enjoy massive pass through storage, generator prep, a 30-gallon fuel cell for refueling your toys, and that strong weatherproof ramp door.

Class C Motorhomes

Class C RVs offer that sweet spot between drivability and livability. This year, we noticed a push toward smarter sleeping solutions, impressive tech upgrades, and storage solutions that make them as versatile for tailgating as they are for weeklong road trips.

Freedom Elite 28HZF

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 30’
  • Chassis: Ford® E-Series
  • Tow Rating: 8,000 pounds

With the 28HZF, small, tasteful changes make a big difference. Take for example the midship kitchen, which places your sink and countertop on the campside, directly against the dinette for a streamlined feel. And rather than entering through a door between the cab and front of the living area, this central entry door brings you right between the kitchen and living space. The result is a compact yet welcoming layout.

Affordability, comfort, and strong build quality—including a one-piece upper cap and one-piece domed roof membrane—make the 28HZF a must-see for those in the market for a Class C. With mega pass through storage and its impressive tow rating, this is a fresh yet consistent release from Thor Motor Coach.

Coleman 19CX

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 21’9″
  • Chassis: Ford® E-Series
  • Tow Rating: 8,000 pounds

We loved the small footprint and unique twin-bed layout of this compact couples Class C. New in 2026, this hybrid layout reverses the order of things a bit, placing the kitchen right behind the cab and cabover bunk, with your rear bedroom pulling double duty as a living area and convertible bedroom. One of the coolest touches is the drawer refrigerator right in the entry door on the 19CX, so you can grab a cold one just by reaching in.

Class B Motorhomes

Van life isn’t slowing down, and the Hershey displays proved it. Pop-top designs, flip-up beds, and clever galley kitchens showcased how comfort fits in a compact footprint. These were our favorite camper vans for active travelers—those who want to hit trailheads, carry gear, and still have a cozy place to crash at night.

Freedom Elite 17D Pop-Top

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 17’11”
  • Chassis: RAM ProMaster® 1500
  • Tow Rating: 5,000 pounds

Ideal for the traveling couple who want a versatile camper, the 17D is compact, somewhat modular, and makes it easy to enjoy more flexible camping. While we were probably most excited about the pop-top version of this camper, the hard-roof version at Hershey was exciting still, and we appreciated the storage beneath the bed, the compact bench setup, and the unique hanging storage bins.

Eddie Bauer 19EU

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 19’8”
  • Chassis: Mercedes-Benz® Sprinter 2500 AWD 144”
  • Tow Rating: 5,000 pounds

Check out another twin bed conversion option that looks to us like the adventurer’s paradise. Two opposing 70” sofas run the midship length, leading to a wet bath in the back and the kitchen and cockpit in front. With simple, Euro-style overhead cabinets running above both sofas, this symmetrical look and feel is especially welcoming. Plus, we’re still big fans of the classic Eddie Bauer green and the almost tweed-looking sofa material.

Class A Motorhomes

From energy-efficient electric concepts to tried-and-true family coaches, our favorite Class A floorplans at Hershey combined residential finishes with clever use of space—creating lounges, bedrooms, and kitchens that felt upscale but still practical for life on the road.

Freedom Traveler A26

Images by Camping World

Specs

  • Length: 27’2”
  • Chassis: Ford® E-Series
  • Tow Rating: 8,000 pounds

Many of our favorite Class A RVs have trended smaller, the A26 among them. This is compact at just over 27 feet, yet completely capable and includes many of your classic Class A features, including a spacious rear bedroom and residential living area. We’re big fans of the drop-down bunk above the cockpit for additional guest sleeping, too. Speaking of the cockpit, a small but notable perk is that smart flip-down desk and eating surface in the passenger seat, which shows that Freedom knows to keep the copilot as happy as the pilot.
