Here’s a quick recap of this week’s NHTSA RV Recall updates, along with some next steps for RV owners.
Keystone Recalls
The shock bolts on certain 2024 Cougar, 2025-2026 Alpine, 2026 Montana, and Walkabout recreational trailers equipped with CURT® Touring Coil Suspensions may have been incorrectly tightened. Improperly torqued shock bolts may damage or break the bolt if over-torqued and may vibrate loose if under-torqued. Under certain conditions during travel, the vehicle may experience excessive bouncing or swaying, resulting in decreased stability and an increased risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the shock bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 1, 2026.

Forest River Recalls
The fireplace outlet on certain 2024-2026 Wildwood and Salem travel trailers may have the incorrect wiring. The wire may not make adequate contact with the self-contained receptacle, increasing the risk of high amperage draw from loose connections and the risk of fire.
Dealers will replace the wiring and outlet, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 8, 2026.
Learn more under recall #26V352.
The listed Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) on certain 2023-2024 XLR Toy Hauler recreational trailers may exceed the weight rating of the upper deck chassis and pin box. Exceeding the weight rating of the upper deck and fifth wheel pin box may lead to mechanical failures and increase the risk of a crash.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 120, “Wheels and Rims-Other Than Passenger Cars.”
Dealers will install a corrected Federal Placard, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 25, 2026.
Learn more under recall #79-2067.
The 110V circuit labels on the distribution panel of certain 2025-2026 R-Pod, NoBo, and IBEX recreational trailers may be mislabeled. A mislabeled 110V circuit may cause electric shock and personal injury if it is not properly identified.
Dealers will install the correct 110V circuit labels on the distribution panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 1, 2026.
Learn more under recall #47-2072.
Grand Design Recalls
The shock bolts on certain 2025 and 2026 Reflection fifth wheels equipped with CURT® Touring Coil Suspensions may have been incorrectly tightened. Under certain operating conditions, if the bolt head fractures while the vehicle is in motion, the bolt head and retaining washer may become loose or detach, resulting in road debris.
Dealers will replace the shock bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on June 29, 2026.
Learn more under recall #910062.
Shyft Group Recalls
The exterior brake lights on certain 2025 Spartan RV Chassis K1, 2024-2026 RV Chassis K2, RV Chassis K3, and 2025-2027 RV Chassis K4 vehicles may remain illuminated when the driver is not applying the brakes. Brake lamps illuminated without the service brake being applied could confuse trailing drivers and increase the risk of a crash.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Shyft will replace the pressure switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 22, 2026.
Learn more under recall #26-05.
Alliance RV Recalls
The inverter DC ground cable on certain 2020-2026 Midwest Automotive Design Luxe Cruiser, 2021-2026 Ultimate Coach, G-55, 2022 Ultimate Entertainer, 2022-2024 Revolution, 2022-2025 Professional Series, 2022-2026 Ultimate Cruiser, Ultimate Limo, Patriot Cruiser, Ultimate Traveler, 2023 Signature, 2023-2024 Athletic Series, 2023-2026 Day Cruiser, Freedom, G-45, 2024-2026 Business Class, and Ultimate Weekender recreational vehicles may be undersized. An undersized DC ground cable may generate excessive heat during operation, potentially damaging the cable or surrounding components and increasing the risk of a thermal event, including smoke or fire.
Dealers will inspect the inverter ground cable configuration and replace any affected cable free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 6, 2026. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 22, 2026.
Learn more under recall #26V380.
Winnebago Recalls
The tire information label on certain 2026-2027 Revel and Revel Sport recreational vehicles lists an incorrect tire size — R16 instead of the actual R17. An incorrect label may result in an improper replacement tire being installed, increasing the risk of a crash.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”
Dealers will install corrected labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 17, 2026.
Learn more under recall #207.
Storyteller Overland Recalls
The secondary alternator pulley on certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt vehicles may fail, resulting in a simultaneous loss of power brakes and power steering. A loss of braking and steering assist increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 23, 2026.
Learn more under recall #26V392.
Airstream Recalls
The MaxxxAir™ fan circuit board on certain 2026 Classic and 2025 Interstate recreational vehicles may experience a thermal event, increasing the risk of fire and personal injury.
Dealers will replace the MaxxAir™ fan circuit board with a corrected version, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 21, 2026. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning August 21, 2026.
