This week’s NHTSA Recall updates hit our desk yesterday. Here’s a quick recap, along with some next steps for RV owners.
Keystone Recalls
The 12-volt and 120-volt wiring on certain 2026 Montana fifth wheel recreational trailers may be improperly secured. The wires may be pinched and damaged when the bedroom slide-out moves. Damaged wiring may cause an electrical fault, increasing the risk of a fire.
Dealers will properly secure the wiring, free of charge. Notification letters should be mailed to owners by May 14th, 2026.

Grand Design Recalls
The entry door position switch on certain 2025-2026 Lineage motorhomes may have been improperly installed, leading to intermittent or unreliable contact.
As a result, the door state may be misinterpreted, potentially causing the entry steps to deploy unintentionally and without warning while the vehicle is in motion. There is little to no warning to the driver that this condition has occurred.
For affected owners, dealers will replace the door position switch, free of charge. Notification letters should be mailed by May 11th, 2026.

Winnebago Recalls
The front turn signals on certain 2017 Brave, 2019 Itasca Sunova, 2019- 2022 Adventurer, and 2022 Sunstar motorhomes may have a smaller-than-required luminous lens area. A small lens can make it difficult for other drivers to see the turn signal, increasing the risk of a crash.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Dealers will replace the turn signals, free of charge. Owner notification letters will be mailed on May 1st, 2026.
