Why Choose a Pontoon Boat?
There are many boat types to get you on the water safely; bowriders, bass boats, and catamarans, just to name a few. But pontoon boats are arguably the most versatile option on the market today. And these aren’t your grandparents’ toons.
Sometimes called ‘the SUV of boats’, pontoons are perfect for the active lifestyle because they can seamlessly transition from fishing adventures to towing tubes or water skiers to anchoring and enjoying a picnic lunch.
They also offer more interior space and a higher passenger capacity than other boat types used for family recreation. That means plenty of room for family, friends, coolers, and other water sports equipment. Unlike a bowrider, you won’t be tripping over excess gear lying in your way.
Pontoon boats are also exceptional for adventures in the early spring or fall because they provide a smoother and drier ride than other boats. With higher sides to eliminate water splashing into the cabin and elements like nosecones, spray fins, and wave tamers, pontoon boats keep you warm, dry, and comfortable on the water.
Speaking of the ride, pontoons provide more seating options and interior layouts than most other boats. Some examples include forward and rear-facing lounges, daybeds, bartop seating, fishing chairs, and captains/co-captains chairs.
Finally, pontoon boats are easy to clean and maintain, especially for new boat owners. Outboard motors last for years, as long as you stick to their normal maintenance schedule. And the fully water-resistant interior means it’s easy to hose off and wipe down between uses.
Why Choose a Nepallo Pontoon Boat?

I bought an 18QA from Camping World in Poteau OK. This absolutely the worst boat/motor I have ever had. 2 out of three times I had the boat out, it stalls and will not restart. Had to be towed in twice. The first time took it to dealer and they couldn’t find anything wrong. The dealer also gave me the wrong boat cover (it does not fit). The decking is mis-coloring and the throttle is sticky. The forward tie down eye bolt is coming loose, there are no other tie downs to the trailer. I am afraid it will come off the trailer while transporting. I am to take it to the dealer again this week. Hopefully they can figure out what is wrong. Either in fuel pump, fuel line or stator problems or something, But at least do something to make me proud of the boat I got.

I sent the details as requested. Hopefully I will hear from someone tomorrow.
I bought 2022 Nepali 16 ta from camping world in Coldwater Mi last August. We had nothing but problems with the boat and the dealership. We were advised that this boat and engine would have enough power for what we wanted to do but were lied to. Now after a couple hours of running the boat we have engine problems. So we called to get it look at were advised the warranty was not active. No help from dealership.

When I turn the radio aux switch the radio defaults back to factory settings. How can I keep the radio settings on ?
Hi Steve,
I’d recommend contacting the radio’s manufacturer or consulting the owner’s manual with this question. Do you know the manufacturer? I’d be happy to try to track down contact information for you if so.
Thanks!
Just purchased the 22 ft nepollo back in October of 2024 and stored it for the winter and got it out a week ago and was going to install a garmin depth fish finder on it and could not find the fuse box tell me it has a fuse box
I bought my 2022 nepallo boat last year at camping world, and my woven carpet is already discolored really bad, the seats keep coming loose, my bimini I had replaced once amd put on this spring is already coming apart the bimini boot that was replaced is coming apart all the doors are hard to open and close, and I keep this boat covered when not in use.

Hi Lloyd,
Thanks for your question! We reached out to the manufacturer who said there is not a fuse box but individual breakers. To install the Garmin, you should add it to the back of the breaker under the helm.
Good Morning,
What is the cannister that is located under the Aft Port seat cushion. It has a hose leading to the engine and one leading to a port on the side of the boat.
Thanks
Hi Arthur, Under the aft port cushion is the fuel pump and the water/fuel separator.
Wanting to install depth finder on QA 18, it seems the brackets on the back of pontoons are above bottom of pontoon. To get a good reading I’ve read transducer should be a little below pontoon. Any suggestions? Most brackets that come with finders are not long enough to achieve that.
I have three huge issues everything else is great, 60hp on a 22.5′ pontoon should not even exist its terible, bimini cover design is bad the wind gets in the center opens it up and tears it up bad, and the trailer looks like i got it of the temu website its rusted out already everywhere and the paint is falling of it and it just falls off on all edges corners also to add the pontoon is parked in the garage besids the 10x i used it last end summer/fall when i purchased it and this summer so far its hard to look at something new like that.
Thanks for the reply Conner, I do have a garmin 93sv uhd and 54 transducer. I leveled from bottom of pontoon and measured to the bottom of the welded bracket and it was 3 1/2 inches. Transducer bracket just don’t get it down to bottom of pontoon. You mentioned fabricating my own bracket, would a little thicker piece of straight stainless plate bolted onto pontoon bracket sticking an inch or so below existing bracket cause any excessive spray or wash that would interfere with the transducer at higher speeds ?
Hey Cameron,
Your transducer bracket should be welded to the starboard side pontoon as far down as possible. This should allow most transom-mounted transducers to be under the pontoon when secure. It’s possible the bracket was welded in the wrong spot, or it’s just a bit higher than some other models. Every boat is different, so even if your transducer is not completely below the pontoon, you should be able to make a drop bracket without too much effort. Most local marinas would likely be happy to care for you if you’re uncomfortable doing the job yourself. Check out our selection of transducers ; just make sure you get one that is compatible with your monitor if you don’t already have one. The Raymarine CPT, for example, hangs down pretty far.
Will these pontoons fit in a 7′ high garage door
Hi Barb, thanks for your question. A Nepallo on a trailer with it’s bimini in the down position is 8’3” tall from the ground to the top of helm.
I was wondering how good the pontoons are
Hi Cathy,
The manufacturer, Forest River, is a leader in the pontoon manufacturing space with a reputation for quality components. In addition, the pontoons come with a lifetime warranty on structural component, which would include the pontoons.
