ToggleThe Best Small Travel Trailers with Outdoor Kitchens
Our first two featured travel trailers with outdoor kitchens are under 25 feet. If you want to tow with an SUV or light-duty truck, these small campers provide everything you need—inside and out!
Forest River Salem FSX 178BHSK
Specs
- Length: 22’11”
- Dry Weight: 4,194 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,451 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
Despite its compact length, the Salem FSX 178BHSK packs a punch! It features double-over-double bunk beds in the rear corner and a Murphy bed in the front to provide private sleeping spaces for everyone in the family. During the day, the Murphy bed folds up to provide comfortable seating on the sofa, and the U-shaped dinette offers ample room for a family to eat together.
This travel trailer doesn’t have a spacious inside kitchen since it’s under 23 feet, but it makes up for that with the outdoor kitchen. That exterior compartment houses a mounted griddle that easily hooks up to the trailer’s LP quick connect. It also offers ample storage space for all your grilling essentials—no mini fridge here, but an easy-to-use setup that makes burgers easy without setting up a portable grill.
Jayco Jay Feather Air 16RB

Images by Camping World
Specs
- Length: 20’2”
- Dry Weight: 3,775 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,220 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4
The Jay Feather Air 16RB will feel incredibly spacious if you don’t need a dinette. The single slide opens up the living area, providing an excellent place for your dog to lounge while you’re out biking or paddling. The sofa has two trays for cozy dining without taking up any floor space. Since the queen bed lies north-to-south, nothing blocks the entryway or juts into the living room.
Outside, a 13-foot awning stretches most of the trailer’s campside, providing a comfortable space to lounge and enjoy conversation with friends. The outdoor kitchen compartment houses a griddle on a pull-out tray with a convenient hookup to the LP system below. While the compartment doesn’t offer much storage space for outdoor cooking gear, the griddle’s alignment (90° to the RV) means less potential for splatter on the camper’s sidewall if you cook with a bit too much oil.

The Best Bunkhouse Travel Trailers with Outdoor Kitchens
Does your family love the benefits of an outdoor camper kitchen, but need more sleeping space? These two campers have rear bunk beds and a private front bedroom, so everyone has privacy.
Forest River Campsite Reserve 26CJ
Specs
- Length: 32’9”
- Dry Weight: 6,421 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,253 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
The Campsite Reserve 26CJ is a travel trailer with an outdoor kitchen and everything a family might need! It has a sofa and a booth dinette for comfortable seating and an L-shaped kitchen for convenient cooking. In addition, a large pantry and hidden shelves behind the entertainment center provide spacious, unique storage.
The double-over-double bunk beds are located in the rear corner next to the bathroom, making it easy for kids to clean up after a day of exploring or quietly get up during the night. There’s also an additional wardrobe by the kids’ beds. Finally, this model has a private front bedroom for parents with overhead storage and a wardrobe.
The outdoor kitchen features a pull-out griddle and a mini fridge for grab-and-go camp beverages. It’s conveniently located just above the LP quick connect near the front entry door. Outside, you’ll also have a power awning with a TV mount underneath for optimal outdoor lounging and tailgating. There’s even a second entry into the rear bathroom. If you’re looking for a bunkhouse travel trailer with an outdoor kitchen, the Campsite Reserve 26CJ checks many boxes!
Forest River Alpha Wolf 26DBH

Specs
- Length: 32’8”
- Dry Weight: 6,625 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,330 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
Forest River’s Alpha Wolf 26DBH travel trailer has a similar floor plan to the Campsite Reserve 26CJ and a virtually identical outdoor kitchen layout with a pull-out grill-griddle combo and a mini fridge. The main interior difference is a U-shaped dinette instead of the standard booth. Because of its larger size, the dinette also replaces the extra wardrobe by the kids’ beds, but a pantry sits along the kitchen wall instead.
Another key difference is that the 26DBH does not have an outdoor TV mount. However, this model places the outdoor kitchen underneath the 20-foot awning. If you’re hoping to grill hamburgers or fry up some bacon, you can do so in the shade and protected from rain.

The Best Couples Travel Trailers with Outdoor Kitchens
The following floor plans swap bunks for features that camping couples will love—like rear or front kitchens with campsite views or large slides for massive living areas. Not only will you have an interior you’ll love, but the outdoor kitchen makes the entire campsite the perfect home away from home.
Forest River Campsite Ultra 26BW

Images by Camping World
Specs
- Length: 30’3”
- Dry Weight: 6,923 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,062 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4
With the Campsite Ultra 26BW, you’ll have all the tools at your fingertips—whether you’re indoors or outdoors. The spacious L-shaped front kitchen has an incredible amount of counterspace, and you’ll love the expansive front window—natural light in, campsite views looking out. This trailer has a great flow between the kitchen and booth dinette, which leads into the main living area, where you’ll find a sofa across from an entertainment center with hidden shelves.
The double-entry bathroom allows easy, private access from the living room or bedroom. The rear king bed sits across from the large wardrobe closet, which provides the kind of clothing storage couples will need for extended trips—or adventurous lifestyles requiring multiple daily wardrobe changes.
The exterior awning stretches over the outdoor kitchen, which includes a grill-griddle mounted on a sliding tray below a mini fridge. Plus, the second entry door leads directly into the bedroom, making it easy to access clothes, shoes, or the bathroom without going through the entire RV.
Jayco Jay Feather 25RB

Specs
- Length: 30’1”
- Dry Weight: 6,150 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,350 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 6
If you’re a couple traveling with pets, the Jay Feather 25RB may be the perfect trailer because of its spacious interior. The single slide opens up the living area for lounging and playful games. The slide has a tri-fold sofa and a booth dinette, providing additional sleeping space and plenty of seating for friends.
The rear bathroom is huge and features good counterspace, a linen closet, and ample room for two people to get ready in the morning. I also love the walk-in pantry and L-shaped counters in the kitchen. If you’re planning a road trip or week-long vacation, you’ll have great space for storing food and kitchen gadgets.
A 19-foot awning stretches along the trailer’s campside, and the outdoor kitchen is positioned directly underneath it. It features a pull-out griddle (turned 90° like the 16RB), a mini fridge, convenience LP quick connect access, and even a spray port for easier dish rinsing or griddle cleaning.
Forest River Campsite Reserve 26RM
Specs
- Length: 33’1”
- Dry Weight: 6,488 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,432 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 4
For couples who enjoy sitting room, the Campsite Reserve 26RM is quite appealing for its versatile rear “reading nook” or lounge space. Two recliners by a large rear window wait for you to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening beverage.
The interior of this travel trailer might feel more cramped than others because while the L-shaped kitchen offers convenient cooking and expanded counterspace, it does extend a bit into the living area. However, because of this design, the sitting area is off to the side as its own private space. And it’s not the only sitting area, as you also have a conventional booth dinette and a jackknife sofa across from the entertainment center.
Like many units on this list, the 26RM features an outdoor kitchen with the same pull-out grill-griddle and mini fridge setup on equipped Campsite Reserve models. While its awning is shorter than most, you’ll still enjoy sitting outside in the shade and preparing meals on the griddle.

The Best Two-Bedroom Travel Trailers with Outdoor Kitchens
Families looking for more privacy will love these two-bedroom options. With rear bunk rooms offering storage and sleeping space, plus additional family-friendly features like ample seating and pantry closets, these travel trailers are excellent options for families, large and small!
Forest River Grey Wolf 29TE

Images by Camping World
Specs
- Length: 36’8”
- Dry Weight: 6,428 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,409 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 8
If you’re a family looking for a travel trailer with an outdoor kitchen and a bunk room, you’re in luck because the Grey Wolf 29TE offers both and more! The rear bunk room features three bunk beds and wardrobe storage, so the kids have private space to sleep, play, and store stuff.
The center of the trailer includes a U-shaped dinette, sofa, and kitchen, which includes additional features like an air fryer and pantry. There’s a second entry into the bathroom, which is nice when the kids come in for lunch and need to wash up quickly.
Outside, there’s a 15-foot awning, a TV mount, and the outdoor kitchen, which features a significant upgrade over those we’ve listed so far. There’s a reason Forest River calls it an “outdoor bar and grill,” as it offers a pull-out grill-griddle, a sliding tray for cutting board or wash bin mounting, a dedicated sink, countertop prep space, LP quick connect access, upper storage cabinets, and 5.6 cubic-feet of cold storage (select models feature side-by-side mini fridges).
While some might think the kitchen’s not being under the awning is a flaw, this design actually has a positive aspect. Since the outdoor kitchen is off to the side, there is more room for seating underneath the awning.
Forest River Wildwood 31KQBTS
Specs
- Length: 36’7”
- Dry Weight: 8,573 pounds
- Cargo Capacity: 1,292 pounds
- Sleeping Capacity: Up to 7
The Wildwood 31KQBTS is the most spacious travel trailer with an outdoor kitchen on our list, and it features three slide-outs. The opposing slides in the rear bunk room create a vast place for the kids to lounge and play. An entertainment center with storage options stretches across the entire rear wall, and the open floor plan is perfect for young kids who like to build with blocks or race cars.
The center of the trailer is just as spacious, with two defining features: the Versa Flex area with chairs and a desk, and the L-shaped lounge that functions like a sectional sofa. This layout is fantastic for large families!
The kitchen and bathroom are relatively small for a family, but that’s not necessarily a deal breaker when you can move some meal prep outside. And trust us, that won’t be tough when you have an outdoor kitchen with a mini fridge, sink, upper shelving, mounted bin storage, and ample counter prep space. The only downside is the lack of a slide-out grill/griddle, but you do have nearby LP quick connect access and enough counterspace to set up a portable griddle—maybe like one of these Blackstone grills!

What Are the Disadvantages of an Outdoor Kitchen?
The main disadvantage of owning a travel trailer with an outdoor kitchen is that it usually takes away from interior storage. If you have a rear bunk bed, the lower bunk won’t have storage underneath because that space is used for the outdoor kitchen. If the outdoor kitchen is toward the front of the camper, you’ll likely lose storage in the cabinets of the indoor kitchen or pantry.
How Should I Stock My RV Outdoor Kitchen?
You should always decorate, organize, and stock your RV based on your preferences and camping style. While we can suggest stocking dishes, cleaning products, and grilling tools, you’ll have to figure out what works for you based on the space and features of your camper’s outdoor kitchen
If you cook breakfast outdoors, have everything you need for the morning ready before bed. If you don’t have an outdoor sink, you’ll probably want a small tub where you can collect dirty utensils and clean them using an outdoor spray port or transport them inside to be washed.
Other ideas include squeeze bottles of oil and water for easy griddle prep and cleaning, a set of grilling utensils in a compact, rugged carrying case, and a portable folding table for extra prep space. No matter where you camp, always have a bear-proof trash can or throw the trash away every night to prevent wildlife encounters.
