ELKHART, IN – Forest River has announced the launch of the Airelume, a premier lineup of travel trailers specifically engineered to welcome the next generation of RV campers. Designed with “purpose-built practicality” and innovative, user-centric features, the Airelume focuses on how families actually camp.
From a dedicated coffee nook that preserves counterspace to no-vent flooring for effortless cleanup, every inch of the Airelume is designed to minimize frustration and maximize “core memory” moments.
Comfortable “Luma Lounge”

The heart of the Airelume is the patent-pending Luma Lounge, a 3-in-1 furniture system that solves the dilemma of mismatched seating and sleeping capacities. Quickly and efficiently, the Luma Lounge converts between:
- Dining Mode: A spacious four-person dinette with a jackknife sofa.
- Movie Mode: A massive 7-foot chaise lounge with a two-person dinette.
- Sleep Mode: A unified sleeping area spanning nearly the length of the slide room.
Easy Towing
To address “towing anxiety,” Forest River engineers lowered the Airelume’s exterior profile to 10’4″—a full foot lower than the industry standard. Combined with an aerodynamic front cap, this design significantly reduces wind resistance, offering a more stable driving experience for those who have never hauled a trailer before.
Smart Features for Modern Families

The Airelume lineup (ranging from 20 to 37 feet) includes several “why didn’t they think of that sooner?” features:
- Views Where Desired, Privacy Where Needed: An oversized 72” kitchen window faces the “action side” of the campsite, while smaller raised windows provide off-camp privacy.
- Thoughtful Storage with Dedicated Zones: The traditional oven is replaced with a massive pots-and-pans drawer, there’s a dedicated coffee nook with K-Cup storage, and the basement doors feature dry-erase surfaces for gear checklists.
- No-Vent Flooring: There’s nowhere for pet hair, crumbs, or dirt to hide, making cleanup a breeze.
“The Airelume is all about value engineering,” says the Forest River team. “We’ve simplified the areas that don’t matter and obsessed over the ones that do.”
