September is a big month for the RV world. Every fall, in a small corner of northern Indiana, RV manufacturers open their doors and for three days show off what they’ve been hard at work developing for the last year behind closed doors. New models, redesigns, prototypes, sneak peeks: it all debuts in Elkhart, and it’s one of the best chances to spot new trends in the upcoming model year.
Not only do manufacturers get the chance to show off their newest designs, but it’s also where dealers from across the country “shop” for the units they will bring to their lots and sell to their customers. That makes the show a real-time test for manufacturers, since dealer orders reveal whether their bets on new designs and features will pay off.
The event is closed to the public, and while we can’t provide a comprehensive rundown of everything new at the show, we’ve put together this list of our favorite highlights, so you can see some of the biggest changes and most impressive RVs coming in the 2027 model year — including some we can only tease. Whether you’re planning your next purchase or just love seeing what’s new, this is where the road ahead takes shape.

ToggleNew North Point Floor Plans + Jay Flight 25th Anniversary

Jayco is celebrating a big one this year: the 25th anniversary of the Jay Flight. With nearly 400,000 units built, it’s one of the best-selling travel trailer brands in RV history. Jayco marked the milestone by rolling out its 2027 lineup earlier this year, which includes new floorplans, a few of which we got to see at the Open House. It was also the perfect opportunity to get a look at everything else Jayco had in store. There was plenty. North Point, Jayco’s luxury fifth wheel line, is introducing several new floorplans for 2027.
North Point 391TBBH

Standout among the several North Point floorplans at the open house was the 391TBBH, a rear-bunk, four-slide family floorplan that includes a central lounge that is especially communal. In the rear, you get a non-traditional bunkhouse with a permanent work desk and wardrobe storage, which shares space with the large outdoor kitchen. If you get the chance, we highly recommend you take a look at this floorplan.
Jay Flight 335BHS

If the fifth wheel floor plan doesn’t suit your family, perhaps the split rear bunk of the 335BHS will. New in 2027, this model offers private sleeping in the rear with two separate bunk spots, as well as the standard queen bed up front. What better way to celebrate what Jay Flight has meant for so many families over the years than with a new layout that families with older kids will appreciate, and without breaking the bank.
Rockwood Reserve Truck Camper + Geo Pro/Mini Lite Floorplans

Rockwood is always a must-see—though it’s rare that they debut something as flashy and attention-grabbing as this year’s teased “Reserve” line, which is an all-new line of truck campers. But even amid the excitement, it was their reliable, well-built, 6-sided, aluminum-framed towables that were still worth seeing, including a reworked Geo Pro lineup with its first double axle model.
Rockwood Reserve

Images by Camping World
The Reserve marks Rockwood’s entry into the truck camper market. A single slide houses the dinette, which converts into a second bed, and storage is overall impressive for a truck camper, with a pantry, deep drawers under the dinette, and kitchen cabinets with positive latches that stay shut on the road. Details like tank sizes and MSRP are still being finalized, so keep an eye out for this one in the months ahead.
Geo Pro G20SFK

Images by Camping World
Also cool to see was the new Geo Pro G20SFK, which Forest River describes as the first double axle Geo Pro. It’s also wider than the 2026 Geo Pro 20-series floorplans, at about 98 inches compared to 92, giving the interior a roomier feel. The front kitchen layout pairs with a rear sleeping area and a slide-out, all in a trailer that measures just over 21 feet and weighs around 4,200 pounds. It’s part of a renamed and streamlined Geo Pro lineup for 2027, and it gives fans of the brand’s off-grid-ready, lightweight design a little more room to stretch out.
Mini Lite 2526BS

Images by Camping World
One of the floor plans that caught our eye was the new Mini Lite 2526BS, a great option for couples. The front bedroom features an east-west queen bed in a slide-out, freeing up floor space, and a large, open front window with a shelf and cabinets below that brightens the whole room. Add generous storage throughout and washer/dryer prep, and it’s a layout built for longer stays. It also benefits from Mini Lite’s new 2027 standard features, including a Starlink connector and a voice assistant built into the control panel.
Cedar Creek: New Floorplans + the 398FL

Cedar Creek’s luxury fifth wheels are built on a 101-inch wide-body frame with an all-aluminum superstructure and a high-gloss gelcoat fiberglass exterior, and this year, Cedar Creek brought several new floor plans to the Open House. One in particular stood out.
Cedar Creek 398FL
The first thing I noticed walking into the 398FL was the wide staircase leading up to the front living room, and the low separator between that space and the kitchen. The effect is a more open, more welcoming living room and kitchen.
This front living fifth wheel stretches about 43 feet with five slide-outs, and the living room features a comfortable, unique couch in the nose of the trailer. From there, you’ll enjoy an entertainment center with a fireplace and a 65-inch smart TV. The center kitchen sits between two opposing slides, with a kitchen island, stainless steel appliances, and a free-standing dinette. In the rear, a king bed in a slide-out pairs with a full bath, a 50-inch bedroom TV, and washer/dryer prep. This layout is great for hosting guests and full-time living.
Winnebago: ARKA, Elora, Access + a Sneak Peek
In what felt like the closest thing to scenic wine country you’ll find in northern Indiana, Winnebago set up shop at the Elcona Country Club in Bristol, as it has in years past. The highlights included the new ARKA adventure truck, the all-new Elora compact Class C, new Access models, and a teaser we can’t say too much about just yet.
Winnebago ARKA

The ARKA is Winnebago’s first purpose-built overland adventure truck and the biggest member of its Backcountry Series, alongside the Revel and EKKO. It’s built on a Ram 5500 4×4 chassis with a 6.7L Cummins® diesel and 41-inch mud-terrain tires, and its camper box moves independently of the cabover rough terrain. With 16.8 kWh of lithium power, it can support up to 14 days off-grid, and it tows up to 15,000 pounds.
Winnebago Elora

Images by Camping World
The all-new Elora fills the gap between a camper van and a traditional Class C. It’s built on the Ram ProMaster chassis with a narrow body that makes it easy to drive and park. At around 20 feet, it skips propane entirely and makes the most of its space with a pivot-wall wet/dry bath and a flexible lounge that converts to a bed. It’s a great fit for solo travelers and couples.
Winnebago Access

Images by Camping World
The Access lineup continues to grow, with Winnebago debuting a new double axle floorplan for 2027. Family-friendly layouts like the 27BH pair Winnebago’s build quality with features like heated pass through storage and 50-amp service, making it a solid value for families who camp often.
Sneak Peek: Winnebago Rhapsody

We’d been hearing rumors about a new Winnebago fifth wheel prior to Open House. Then at the Winnebago display, we got a first look at the new prototype: Rhapsody. We can’t share many details just yet. But if you get a chance to see one in person, head to the primary bedroom. Look up.
Thor Motor Coach Magnitude 33C: A Decade-Long Idea Unveiled

It was hard to miss the all-new Magnitude 33C. It sat front and center in the Thor display, and for good reason: it’s a four-door quad cab Super C with a true rear bedroom, a combination Thor is billing as an industry first. We met Colin Sekal, Southeast Regional Sales Manager for Thor Motor Coach, who told us the team has been dreaming of building a quad-cab Super C for nearly 10 years.
Magnitude 33C

While the lifted suspension and 35-inch all-terrain tires certainly catch your eye, the real feature here is that quad cab. Passengers can reach the coach while you’re on the road, and when the back seats aren’t needed, they fold up to make room for gear or pet kennels. For families, those rear seats are a bigger deal than they might seem, since most motorhomes offer few or no spots behind the front row to properly install a car seat. In the rear, a slide-out queen bedroom means nobody has to break down a bunk at night. Up front, the over-cab bunk shifts from a slim twin to a full twin to just shy of king size, with an 800-pound capacity that will grow with the kids.
Keystone: Montana Redesign, Cougar, New Models from Coleman Light
It’s hard to talk about Keystone this year without starting with Montana and Montana High Country. As the brand marks 25 years on the road, Keystone gave its flagship luxury fifth wheel an important redesign, featuring a 101-inch wide body, an improved custom chassis, and a five-year structural warranty, to name a few.
But the Montana wasn’t the only story. Coleman Light is rolling out several exciting new floor plans for 2027, including slideless twin-bed layouts that are a welcome change of pace for couples who’d rather not share a mattress. One of them takes inspiration from a popular Airstream twin-bed design, and another pairs a rear kitchen with a sofa and a dinette with a swiveling table. What caught our eye most, though, was a new twist on the lightweight toy hauler, which we’ll get to below.
Cougar Half-Ton 30REP

Images by Camping World
But with all the excitement around Montana, we didn’t want you to miss another worthy new addition to the Keystone fifth wheel lineup: a new half-ton from Cougar, the 30REP. It pairs rear living with an electric side patio, a deck that folds out from the side of the trailer to create an outdoor lounge right off the living room, with a pass through window to boot. Inside, an electric fireplace and a tall slide-out give the living area a roomy, residential feel. Up front, the bedroom offers an available king bed and washer/dryer prep. At just under 35 feet with a single slide, it’s a great fit for couples who’d rather spend their evenings outside.
Coleman Light 23TX
The Coleman Light 23TX puts a fresh spin on the lightweight toy hauler concept, moving the garage to the front of the trailer. The ramp door folds down from the side, and the garage includes two drop-down bunks for extra sleeping space when the toys are unloaded. Another unique twist? There’s a rear slide-out that fits your queen bed, perfect for movie night. If you’ve been looking for something different in a lightweight travel trailer, this is it. At just under 28 feet with a dry weight of about 5,120 pounds, it’s light enough for plenty of tow vehicles, yet the garage still handles 1,250 pounds of cargo, and the trailer sleeps six. And it serves far more than the traditional toy hauler crowd.
Forest River: Sabre, Cherokee Wolf Pack + Puma Mirage One
It’s a challenge to include our favorites from such a crowded field — and it’s a bit of a cop-out to include all of the following under the broad banner of Forest River — but these were among the standouts across Forest River’s display (which also included favorites like Rockwood and Cedar Creek). New floorplans from Sabre, a wild toy hauler setup from Wolf Pack, and a single-level fifth wheel that’s the first of its kind.
Sabre 32RK and 32RL

Images by Camping World
This year, Sabre adds to their lineup with two smart takes on the mid-size fifth wheel. The 32RL places the living room at the rear, with a kitchen island at the center and three slides that open up to about 36 feet of space. Meanwhile, the 32RK flips the script with a rear kitchen—featuring a residential-size refrigerator and pantry—while the living area centers on an L-shaped sectional facing the TV and fireplace. Both include a front bedroom with washer/dryer prep, so it really comes down to whether you’d rather cook or lounge with a view out the back.
Cherokee Wolf Pack 348PACK10.5

Images by Camping World
The 348PACK10.5 was one of the flashiest toy haulers on display. Its standout detail is a staircase that folds up against the wall, a clever way to free up floor space when you’re loading toys into the garage. And that staircase leads to a loft above the garage, replacing that Tokyo-style bed you may be used to. Then there’s the kitchen, located right past the garage, with a pass through window from the garage to the sink. This is an expansive floorplan, the kind that feels like it goes on far beyond its length.
Puma Mirage One 396FLL

Images by Camping World
The Puma Mirage One is the first fifth wheel with a single, solid level running through the entire camper, which Palomino calls ranch-style living. Without the usual steps between rooms, a basement-style storage area rivals what you’d find on a Class A motorhome. Except, this floorplan seemed to go on and on and on. If it’s a mansion feel you’re looking for, this is it. The 396FLL is a front living layout stretching about 43 feet, and walking through it, each end of the coach felt remarkably separate from the other. It’s one of the most spacious-feeling fifth wheels we’ve ever toured.
What’s Next for 2027

And that’s a wrap!
If this year’s Open House made one thing clear, it’s that manufacturers are paying close attention to how people actually camp and building RVs that better meet those needs. I think about the increase in slideless travel trailers we’ve seen this year. Or the prevalence and variety of off-road Super C’s and adventure trucks. Couples are getting more thoughtful layouts, from twin-bed floorplans to patio-focused fifth wheels. Every new model we looked at was developed in response to customer feedback.
Over the coming months, many of these models will start arriving on dealer lots, and some of the prototypes we saw may look a little different by the time they do. We’ll keep you posted as new details emerge, especially on the ones we could only tease. In the meantime, if something here caught your eye, stop by your local Camping World to see what’s arriving for 2027.
