RV Recall Updates | August 11, 2026

Here’s a quick recap of this week’s NHTSA RV Recalls, along with some next steps for RV owners.

Brinkley RV Recalls

The exterior ladder on certain 2027 Model I travel trailers may have been installed outside of its designated support backer, allowing it to detach during use and cause a fall, potentially resulting in personal injury or death.

Dealers will inspect and reinstall the ladder as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 7, 2026.

Learn more under recall #REC-2603.

Escape Trailer Industries Recalls

Certain 2025-2026 Escape E13 travel trailers may have insufficient ventilation in the refrigerator cavity, allowing carbon monoxide to accumulate in or near the refrigerator compartment, increasing the risk of serious injury or death.

Dealers will install a ventilation fan and insulation, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 4, 2026.

Learn more under recall #26V505.

Forest River Recalls

The Federal Placard on certain 2027 Surveyor, Sabre, NOBO, IBEX, and UnMapped travel trailers may list an incorrect fresh water tank capacity, which could lead an owner to unintentionally overload the tank, increasing the risk of damage.

Forest River will mail corrected Federal Placards to all affected owners and dealers for replacement, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by September 1, 2026.

Learn more under recall #51-2076.

The printed circuit board (PCB) installed in the MaxxAir™ N-Series fan assembly on certain 2026-2027 Forest River Pause travel trailers and OG Luxury Coach motorhomes may have a defect that can cause overheating during certain operations, increasing the risk of a fire.

Dealers will inspect the fan and, if the unit contains the suspect PCB, replace it with a corrected version, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by September 1, 2026.

Learn more under recall #51-2077.

Certain 2027 Forest River Leprechaun and Freelander motorhomes may have been manufactured without a house battery circuit breaker, leaving a power wire without overcurrent protection and potentially leading to a fire.

Dealers will install an overcurrent protection device, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by September 12, 2026.

Learn more under recall #210-2085.

Grand Design RV Recalls

On certain 2026 Grand Design Imagine travel trailers, a receptacle cover in the front pass through utility panel may have been fastened using incorrect screw holes, allowing a fastener to contact an energized 120V conductor and create a risk of fire.

Dealers will inspect and correct the fastener placement, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed between August 17 and August 21, 2026.

Learn more under recall #910064.

The tire information label on certain 2026-2027 Grand Design Lineage motorhomes with the 20-inch wheel and tire package may state the incorrect rear tire pressure. Operating an over-inflated tire increases the risk of tire failure and loss of vehicle control. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, “Wheels and Rims – Other than Passenger Cars.”

Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed between August 17 and August 21, 2026.

Learn more under recall #M910065.

Certain 2027 Grand Design Imagine travel trailers may have been built with an undersized 30-amp circuit breaker on the inverter prep circuit. If an inverter is connected and the circuit is overloaded, the breaker may fail to trip, causing the wiring to overheat and creating a risk of fire.

Dealers will replace the breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed starting on August 17, 2026.

Learn more under recall #910066.

Jayco Recalls

The certification label on certain 2026 Entegra Anthem motorhomes may list an incorrect tire size, which could result in the wrong tires being installed on the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will adhere a corrected certification label, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 24, 2026.

Learn more under recall #9903662.

A brake pressure switch on certain 2024-2026 Entegra Anthem, Aspire, Cornerstone, Cornerstone Reserve, Reatta, and Reatta XL motorhomes built on certain Spartan K1, K2, and K4 chassis may retain residual air pressure, causing brake lamps to illuminate when the service brakes are not applied, which could confuse trailing drivers and increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the pressure switch, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 31, 2026.

Learn more under recall #26V484.

Newell Coach Recalls

The steer axle air spring base on certain 2025-2027 Newell Coach P50 motorcoaches, may deform or crack during operation, causing a sudden loss of air pressure and suspension support, which could lead to an accident, serious injury, or death.

Dealers will inspect and replace the air springs as necessary and add a support plate to the base, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 3, 2026.

Learn more under recall #26V488.

Winnebago Recalls

The touchscreen display on certain 2024-2025 Winnebago Ekko motorhomes may register phantom touch inputs that transmit an unintended generator start command, potentially causing carbon monoxide to accumulate in enclosed spaces and increasing the risk of serious injury or death.

Owners are advised to park outside until the repair is completed. Winnebago will deliver an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update correcting the touchscreen sensitivity threshold, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 24, 2026.
