This week’s NHTSA RV Recall updates hit our desk yesterday. Here’s a quick recap, along with some next steps for RV owners.
Keystone Recalls
The underbelly of certain 2026 Montana fifth wheel recreational trailers may be improperly secured, causing it to detach under certain travel conditions and leading to an increased risk of a vehicle crash. The main warning sign is an underbelly that appears loose or shows signs of separation from the frame.
Dealers will install C-channels and I-bems to secure the underbelly, free of charge. Notification letters should be mailed to owners, and VINs involved in this recall become searchable via NHTSA starting on May 28th, 2026.

Forest River Recalls
The Federal Placard Label on certain 2026 Westbrook and Avenger travel trailers may list an incorrect dry weight. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”
Incorrect weight information may lead to unintentional overloading of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Notification letters should be mailed by May 16th, 2026.
